The Goddess's TaleI met a fallen goddess yesterday
Her wheezing, smog-black breathing soft and weak
In her gold hair a dripping oily streak
Her once-blue crystal eyes a rotting gray.
She told me how the children used to play
When sun and breeze and shade was all they'd seek
But now, their listless gazes dull and bleak,
They sit by a computer screen all day.
Her tattered dress a faded memory
Of luscious greens, of colors bright and bold.
She prayed someday, the blinded world could see
Her trembling arms, so tired, frail, and old.
But if it never does, she said to me
At least her final tale will have been told.

Tired of speaking
Walking
Sitting
Laying down
Tired of sound
Silence
Being with someone
Being alone
Wondering
Dreaming
Whispering
Singing
Tired of eating
Drinking
Moving
Staying still
Opening eyes
And closing them
Day by day
Tired of day
Tired of sleep
Tired of trying to write this poem
Making the words sound deep
Thoughtful
Even as I think I write
With sincerity
It's all for fame
For someone to say
How great I am
How mature
To write such deepfelt things
Fake
Tired of thinking of fake
But I'm cursed forever
With realization of my acting
My pretense of innocence
And humbleness
I do

Hey, everyone! Well, as you know, I've been lazy lately, not much submitting goin' on, so I decided to try another motivational postah... and, considering I'm a Hetalia fan... :icongermanyyayplz: In case you were wondering.. my favorite character's Germany.
... P.S., I do not own Hetalia, (c) Mr. Hidekaz, etc, etc.
Edit: It's funny how much favorites this thing's been getting. I don't go on DA much now, and am not such an eager Hetalia fan, but I'll keep this up, anyways. Apologies to everyone who faved/commented/gave me a llama- I'd reply to each and every one of you if I had the time!
